Christopher Tkacik
Director of Bands, Orchestra, K-8 Music
Chris is entering his third year as a music educator. He is currently serving as band, orchestra, & K-8 general music teacher at Stokes School. He also currently serves as the assistant band director at North Pitt High School, where he has been working closely with Director Aaron Kingsberry to plan and facilitate the marching band program. He is very excited and passionate about bringing a culture of success through music to all students in the attendance area.
Chris is a 2012 Summa Cum Laude graduate of East Carolina University and holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education. While at ECU, he participated in the ECU Marching Pirates, symphonic band, wind ensemble, and various brass ensembles. He is also a brother of the Zeta Psi chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity, where he served as Music Director and Fraternity Education Officer. Chris studied Tuba under Yamaha performing artist Tom McCaslin. He is also an active member of the National Association for Music Education (NAFME), the North Carolina Music Educators Association (NCMEA), and the North Carolina Band Masters Association (NCBA).
Chris lives with his wife, Emily, in Winterville, NC
